Recovering a Excel File from a Acronis Backup Archive (.tib) file

Thread needs solution

Help! I am a novice PC user. Last month I bought a Samsung All-in-One PC with Windows 8. When I bought it Best Buy recommended I purchase Acronis True Image as my file backup software. They also helped me set it up. Fast forward 4 weeks and I encountered an issue with the Samsung PC which it took Best Buy a week to correct. Thankfully everything from my hard drive was recovered save for one Excel file that is now corrupted. I thought all is not lost since I backed up my system two days before it crashed with Acronis. However I can't seem to recover this particular Excel file from the Backup Archive .tib file (Best Buy wasn't able to help me here). I'm wondering if anyone can either help me or direct me to sources that can.

As I said, I'm kind of a novice with PC's so I realize I'm probably not explaining this well but if anyone can help it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thnx!!!

If you still have Acronis installed on your system, locate your most current .tib file and double click it. This should open the file and you should be able to drill down into the folders to find the file (or search for it in the search box) and then copy the file you need to your my documents folder.
