Recovering Windows 7 Professional OS - OS got corrupted and will not even boot

Thread needs solution

Windows 7 Professional OS got corrupted and I do not have the disks to reload it. But I did back everything up via Acronis True Home Image on an external hard drive.
Can I use that external hard drive to reload everything without rebooting (as noted in the Title box above, I cannot even boot up the PC.)?
If so, can someone give detailed instructions please? Thanks!

You will need the Acronis recovery CD. To do that, use another computer to go to your Acronis account, log-in, go to the product download area, download the bootable ISO, burn is *as an ISO* (not a regular file burning) to a blank CD.
Put this CD in the computer that doesn't boot, and boot the computer. YOu might have to change the BIOS settings to make sure it will boot on the CD. Then use Acronis to recover your backup.
