RECOVERY deleted

Thread needs solution

For decades I have kept backups on 2 external drives. One was always off site.

I am having a HUGE problem keeping backups. As you can probably see, I am using Acronis True Image 2014.

For example:

1) I made a backup labelled "5 1 2014 Disk 1" onto external drive 1. The RECOVER TAB appeared.

2) When I made a backup labelled "5 1 2014 Disk 2" onto external drive 2, the RECOVER TAB appeared there, BUT the RECOVER TAB disappeared for "5 1 2014 Disk 1" and the phrase "Not backed up yet" appeared after the name "5 1 2014 Disk 1".

This continues to happen. I can only keep the RECOVER TAB on the latest backup and backing that up removes previous RECOVER TABS.

Except, I do have some old backups made in 2013. These continue to keep their RECOVERY TABS. The problem is only with recent backups made in 2014.

ALSO,

1) If I try to delete the settings and data for a backup I no longer need, the program locks up and I need to go to TASK MANAGER to close the progran, and

2) If I only delete THE SETTINGS from an old backup, the REVOVER TAB for the latest backup disappears and I get the message "Not backed up yet" for that latest backup.

Something is very wrong here. I have been using Acronis for 3 years and 35 weeks.

Not backed up yet message appears until a "scheduled" backup is performed. The message can be ignored if you have made manual backups of the same task.

There is one method to delete just the bacup task without involving any actual backkup files.
GH20. Remove Single Task from Task Menu Listing

If you have a backup file that is not listed on main menu and you want it listed, this lnk shows how.
As long as the backup fiile exists and is not corrupt, it can be restored regardless of whether it shows on main menu or not.

GH21. How to add backup files to the listing of backup tasks for assorted uses             such as validation or recovery or add missing files to backup tasks.
