Recovery did not bring Email User Folders (Outlook)

Thread needs solution

Acronis TI home 2010. Did a back up of 1) files and folders and a second of email from MS Outlook. Restored HP PC with win 7 to orginal factory OS. Reinstalled MS Office and other applications. Restored files and folders. They all SEEM there (I'll keep testing). Then as the user guide directs, I opened outlook and created the Outlook profile. Then did a seperate email restore. None of my contacts and none of my User Folders were restored. No user folders or contact are in Outlook. About 16 years worth of contacts and various important past emails. I NEED THEM.

How can I find and restore those contacts and emails?

Robert,

Were your PST (or OST) files in a custom folder (eg: c:\users\MyUser\Documents\Outlook) or in the default Outlook folder in c:\users\MyUser\AppData\...)? If you restore your system, you have reset Outlook to the default location... So, if you used a custom location, you need to reset it.

If you didn't use a custom location, look at the email backup file.

Is the size of your email backup suggesting that the PST file is NOT in the backup?
