Recovery fails during Acronis Loader session

Thread needs solution

I tried to make a system restore with the Acronis True Image 2011 but after the reboot the Acronis Loader says: Information 'Cannot open an archive Mijn_systeem.tib - Place the latest medium (??) of the back-up archive and click on Retry to continue or click on Cancel to stop (Cancelled).
To note this back-up Mijn_systeem.tib opens perfectly manually, the opening of the backup manually is allowed I assume? . The help or wizard said somewhere that I have to reinstall the application, not done yet. The activation of the startup recovery key F11 was succesfull by the way but I did not try out this feature yet.
P.S. I tried to make a full system restore because of a persistent Windows error when making a system restore point manually (0x80041321).

W73X,

This often occurs when restoring a live system disk from within Windows. Acronis has to load its pre-boot recovery environment after rebooting to allow such a restore. When the system reboots and loads the Linux based recovery environment, the volume letters of your drives partitions are sometimes not presented to the recovery environment the same as in Windows. Because of this the recovery environment can not find the archive in the location it expects, and you get the error you are seeing.

To recover your system from this archive, boot to your Acronis Rescue Media. After booting up to the Rescue Media, choose Recover and then browse your system for the backup file you wish to restore from. I would validate the backup archive first (while booted to the Rescue Media), before attempting to restore it.

It is always good to have a current full disk backup, too, as an additional item to fall back on in case the restore does not work as expected.
