Recovery problem with software raid

Thread needs solution

Hey Folks,

I'm using TI to backup our Windows 2008 Server.

the C:\ Drive (with all data) is mirrored (Raid1) by the operationsystem onto to Harddisks.
the D:\ Drive (where my Backups are created via Chain2gen) is made out of 4 Hardisks by Windows Software Raid5.

I have a bunch of USB Disks where i copy the monthly backup away from the Raid5.

i was thinking about what i would have to do if i really need to recover the complete operating system from the CD-Rom. I would reboot the system set boot from CD-Rom in Bios, insert the Acronis Disk and pick the lastest INCR (hopping it automaticly gets the rest of data from the last FULL) or I would load the last FULL first and then recovery the last INCR.
(please comment this so far)

the actual problem I see is that the Software Raid 5 of my Data Disks wont by loaded due to missing information or drivers by acronis ... is that correct ? if yes, i'm in big trouble.

So would it make a difference if id have the Backup disks in a Hardware Raid 5 ?

What would you do ?

Thanks for any Ideas or maybe im just making myself crazy for nothing.

Thanks,
Marcel.
