Recovery to a Second Computer Puts Two Files in the Folder
Thread needs solution
Windows 7 64 bit on both machines.
I make a full partition image of PC A onto an external hard drive.
I connect the image to PC B and recover selected files and folders to their "original" location. My accounts on both PCs have the same name.
I get some files in two copies. Example:
cards-scanned business.mdb
and
cards-scanned business.mdb~KIFCT08O
Why do I get the second copy? How can I avoid this?
I guess I could mount the image and copy/paste the files. Would that help?
Thanks

Build 6053, TI 2010.
I'll have to check for an update, thank you. I thought this might be an NTFS issue.
Thanks,
