Recovery for Windows 8.1 with Acronis 2014 last version = unallocated space

Thread needs solution

Hello there

You tell me this is not a problem since there is no real impact on the operation of Windows.

However, I am just amazed.

Indeed, after restoring a backup made with Acronis 2014 with bootable iso on my Crucial SSD MX100, I see a 400 MB unallocated space is about to be created other partitions (partitions UEFI , Windows ...).

But I do not have the memory of having seen it after fresh install of Windows 8.1 64-bit on the SSD.

What Is it due?

thank you

Right. We have seen this case a couple of times already. Not sure what is going on, it shouldn't happen but, as you say, there is no real consequence. In fact, having a bit of unallocated space is good on an SSD, so all is not lost...

Yes it bothers me nonetheless.

Especially Macrium free version is itself able to restore this famous MSR partition.

So why Acronis can not do?

Greetings,

This post is two yrs old.  Are you still using 2014?  If so, please ensure you are using the last or latest build available if you are still testing this.
