Recoving partitions and disks

I have Acronis image 2015 for PC. I run backups every day. I recently made some software changes to my PC and afterwards changed my mind so I tried to recover from a previous day. I followed the instructions for recovering Partitions and disks. Specifying the backup I wanted to use with the partitions and then clicked on Recover Disks and specified the backup version and then the destination. I then clicked on Recover Now and then restart the computer. The computer shutdown and the Acronis loaded came up. It went to a box to show me the backup that was being used sat for a couple of moments not doing anything and then restarted my PC. It did not recover anything. I tried several time with the same results.
