Reducing size of windows 7 partition 64-bit Home Premium

Thread needs solution

I have windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit as my installed os. I wish to downsize the C; partition from 130 GB to 110GB. This will allow me to clone it onto an ssd that's formatted capacity is 110 MB. Can somebody tell me if the Acronis software can downsize my existing Windows 7 boot partition? If yes how. If no, what software will do the job. It must be reliable , I do not want my partition to be inoperable with all the headaches that go with correcting that. Thank you.

DD can resize partitions. TI can resize to fit or to the size you want as long as the data fits. You should be able to clone to or restore to the SSD and have the partition resized as part of the procedure.

Windows 7 Disk Management should also be able to do that small of a resize. Disk Management can do this without needing to reboot, though it does have more limitations than partitioning programs like DD.
