Reinstall True Image 2015

Thread needs solution

It appears I may have a True Image 2015 installation that has gone sour beyond description. It used to work fine, but no feedback in these forums, and nothing in user guides has helped. I'm considering a reinstall of the program. If I do this, will the reinstall count against the 3 PCs for which I bought a license?
If I reinstall it, should I remove the present install first, or just begin a new download and let the installation figure out that I've already got a copy?

The licensing is PC specific so a reinstall should not affect your install count.

Below is a link that describes how to uninstall the product and start fresh. Follow all instructions then reinstall and you should be back to a working state.

My Acronis stopped working a couple of weeks ago.  Today I decided to uninstall (whichI did in control panel and Windows 10) and reinstall it.  I need to know how to proceed.  I have the original disk and serial code.

In addition to uninstalling, you need to run the Acronis cleanup utility.  The link below describes the process and has a link to download the cleanup utility, and instructions on how to run the cleanup utility.

After running the cleanup utility, you will reboot your computer, then reinstall ATI 2015.

Upgrade serial # unacceptable

I recently did a clean install of Win 10 having saved the downloaded setup for TI 2015. The reinstall requires a serial number of the previous product. The only ones I can get from 'My Account' are for 2013-2015. They were all rejected because they were 'Upgrade' serial numbers. Where can I get an acceptable serial number?

I have used upgrade serials for other serials in the past with no issue.  You should contact customer support to get this resolved.

I appreciate the response, but I must be a bit thick. I have read what support is available. I have read what serial numbers are required for upgrades. However, I have seen nothing about re-installing.

To compound the thickness possibility, I could find no link or form or chat to request help other than this forum.

TI 2016 does not provide enough new encentives for me to intice an upgrade.

My next step is to ... ???

Use the link above to contact support.  In the first drop down box select Customer care and in the next one select Product Activation issues.  This will activate the live chat and email options.

Before contacting support make sure you are using the installer for the final build 6613.  The installer name should look like this AcronisTrueImage2015_6613_en-US.exe.  There were issues in some of the earlier builds where the box to enter the previous product's serial did not appear.  You can download the final version from your Acronis account.

When performing the installation enter the 2015 upgrade key first.  You will then be prompted to enter a key for any previous True Image product in the new box that appears.  It doesn't matter if the previous keys are full or upgrade keys.  I have even tried Plus Pack keys and they were accepted.

Thanks for the link and instructions. I filled out the form for a chat, except for the error code. There is no error code. I tried two different bogus codes in the correct format to no avail. The chat was rejected.

At first, I had the same roblem of requiring an error number. I then  signed in to MyAccount, and the chat was enabled. Thanks for your assistance.
