Remote server {0} is unavailable

Thread needs solution

Hello:

Trying to restore a backup from Acronis' online backup solution and I am receiving this error. Anything I can do about it?

It looks like an issue with your ability to access the Acronis server. The problem can be anywhere from your Internet connection, firewall, all the way to the Acronis servers.

OK, but if I can backup to the server without issue why wouldn't I be able to connect to it for this? Do I need to open ports or anything?

If you have normal access to Internet, try to disable your firewall just to try ATI. If that solves the issue,, you will have to add ATI to the firewell exception list. If that doesn't work, can you login/logout out of Acronis account? If you can't the Acronis servers have a temporary issue. If you can log in, and you cannot backup or restore, you will have to contact Acronis support.

To answer your question I tried disabling my firewall to no avail. And can log in/out. I really hope that data isn't gone :(

Oh and, I can access my Wife's backup. But not mine.

Since you can access your wife's content, it looks like you have some metadata corruption on the Acronis servers. You should contact Acronis support.
