Remove boot loader Acronis True Image 2012

Thread needs solution

I'm giving away a PC that formerly had Acronis Home True Image 2012. I upgraded the Windows 7 OS to Windows 10 and told Windows to erase everything. (Note: Windows 10 said that Acronis True Image 2012 was incompatible.) There is a fragment of True Image 2012 remaining-The Boot Loader.

I wonder if it is feasible to remove it. I'm pretty sure that the boot loader remains because of the message that launches at boot time.

Does it sound like I'm abandoning Acronis? Never! It lives in a much newer version on the PCs that we are keeping.

Thank you in advance.

Victor, you can try using the tools advised in the following posts:

http://www.thewindowsclub.com/advanced-visual-bcd-editor-for-windows-7-and-vista

or http://www.thewindowsclub.com/repair-master-boot-record-mbr-windows

Essentially, the F11 prompt for the Acronis Recovery Manager has been added to the MBR / BCD and the above methods can rebuild these areas of the system.
