Remove removeable drive -> no database
Relative newbie with ATI. Running ATIHome2010 on XP/SP3. Drive 0 is 150GB partitioned as C: & D, drive 1 is single 750GB E: partition. I use an external drive on an eSata connection as a target for my ATI backups.
ATI file and image backups work flawlessly, writing to the external drive. Looking in ATI at the 'Recovery' screen, I see that the ATI database has a record of the backups.
However, when the external drive is dismounted, all the ATI database records appear to be lost. The 'Recovery' screen shows nothing, and inspecting %APPDATA%/Acronis/TrueImageHome/Database I can see that the database has shrunk from its former size to a minimal 236 bytes.
Further, remounting the external drive (or even a complete reboot) does not restore the database. The only way I've found is to use the 'Browse' feature and manually restore it, one item at a time. Of course the next time the external drive is dismounted, the data is gone again.
So, what am I missing here? Any enlightenment much appreciated...
