Repair problem with "The last backup has failed"

Each time my Acronis True Image Home 2012 completes a "My Partitions" backup there is an error message highlighted in orange color, that says "The last backup has failed" I need instructions on how to correct this problem. Thank you.

Read the log file for more details about the message. There could be an infinite number of reasons as to why.

Perhaps the storage disk does not have enough room and some housekeeping may be needed.
The disk being backup up may have some disk errors and maybe a check for disk errors is needed.
The database may have become corrupt and lost its way and you may need to start over with a completely new task.
Usually, the log file can provide some assistance as to why.

I have tried several times to backup my computer. I get an error each time, but I do not know how to correct the problem. I am saving the backup to a 2tb hard drive with plenty of space. I did a chkdsk beforehand.

What can I do?
