Replacing The Complete "C" Image With An Image From Another System

Thread needs solution

I have True Image 11 and I want to replace the complete "C" image on a Dell Optimax with the image on an Older Dell Dimension 1000. The Dimension is running XP and the Optimax is running Vista Business.

My final objective is to have the Optimax running XP with all of the software that runs on the 1000 now running on the Optimax. I don't want to have to install any of the software that currently runs on the 1000 - I just want to copy the disc and be off and running. I believe that the hard drives on the two machines are of different sizes.

How do I accomplish this? Be specific, as your grade will be a function of the quality of your answer!

Since you want to restore the image of computer A onto computer B, you need to use the Universal Restore feature. This feature is activated in ATI and on the recovery CD that you produce after having installed the paid-for Plus Pack.
You won't be able to buy the Plus Pack for your version, so you will have to upgrade to ATI 2014 plus the Plus Pack.

Universal Restore allows you to slipstream the low level drivers of the computer B while you restore the image of computer A. It works most of the time, and is the best thing to try short of reinstalling your OS and programs.
