Rescue Boot Media will not boot ASUS Laptop
I have created the CD boot media from the ISO image (from account page), but it will not boot my laptop - ASUS with NVIDIA Geforce GTS 360M.
tried both the ISO image and using the program itself to no avail.
Any ideas ? - Christo

What is the error message or describe what is happening.
Just to be sure, have you checked the bios settiing to make sure the Asus is booting from the CD device?
I believe if you press the ESC key during first bootup , you will be able to choose the boot option.
Also, once it begins booting into Acronis, the default setting is for the CD to boot into Windows after 10 seconds so be sure and watch during boot and choose the Acronis full version option.

Yes, first thing I checked. The first boot option is definitely the CD.
What happens when the BIOS looks at the CD, it says it's not a boot device.
I think I'm doing it right, but can someone walk me through the steps to get the ISO image onto the CD. ISO file is ~250 mb.

Thanks for the responses, but it was finger trouble with the ISO file and getting it onto the CD correctly. I used PowerISO in the end and it worked perfectly.
thanks again - christo

If your PC has Windows 7, no third-party software is required. Windows 7 can natively burn .ISO files to disk.

I was using W7 to burn the ISO to the CD - no idea why it didn't work

I think you have to right click on the ISO and choose Burn ISO. If you just drag and drop the iso onto the CD, it copies the files.

That's correct. Right-click | "Burn disc image" burns the ISO to CD as bootable. Other methods, such as dragging and dropping, are just standard Windows file copying, which would create a data disc containing an .iso file, non-bootable.
