[Resolved] how to get system bootable again?

hi,

i copied the "system reserved" and c: from one drive to another. "system reserved" is marked as active but the bios wont boot from it?

what else besides "copy volume" and mark it as active do i need todo to get it booting?

You can't just copy system files to a drive and expect Windows to boot from it. Windows is more complicated than that. Plus, Windows won't typically allow two bootable Windows OS drives in a system concurrently.

If you explain what you want to do, perhaps we can help.

Copy the files in the system reserved partition is not enough. You will have to:
- leave only the new disk in the system, at his final spot,
- boot on the Windows installation CD,
- choose install windows, repair computer, repair startup, reboot. If it doesn't boot, do this step again until it boots.
