[RESOLVED] pre.bat gives security warning

Thread needs solution

I am using chain2gen to generate incremental backup on rotation. However, it contains a file called pre.bat that needs to be run on pre-command.

Every time I run the backup a security prompt comes up saying that the file does not have digital signature, it runs fine if I select OK.

Is there any way to avoid this security prompt without lowering the security of the entire system.

I am using win7-x64

Thanks
SK

appendix C provides this instructions.

as instructed below, Right click on EACH bat & vbs file and check if the file needs to be unblocked.
Post back about your results.

Part of Appendix C

• Some users have windows configured to BLOCK downloaded “.bat” and “.vbs” scripts. Chain2gen
makes extensive use of these file types and you MUST Unblock them for chain2gen to run.

Use windows explorer and RIGHT click a chain2gen “.bat” file that you have NOT edited.
if you see an “unblock” button such as this then you will need to click it.

You WILL have to repeat this process for EVERY “.bat” file in the chain2gen folder.
Most users will NOT have such a button, if you do not that is fine.
Please repeat this for all chain2gen files with a “.vbs” file extension.
