restore with 2010 using usb3

Thread needs solution

I am using a usb3 external drive and system 7 home premium. It backs up and restores very quickly but when I wanted to restore the entire disk it stops after a few minutes with read error message. Restoring by placing the cable into a usb2 port works fine. Is it because the basic driver for 3 is not in the Acronis program, but backing up recognizes the usb3 since it is run through windows 7? whereas restoring does not by requiring a reboot? Does newer versions have the driver for usb3 ports?

If you are not using the most current version of 2010 which is 7160, you can try this.

Download the 7160 iso bootable media and then use Win7 to burn is an image.

After downloading, right click on the iso file and choose 'open with" and then select the "burn with Windows Disk image burner".

The issue is the 2010 was created before usb3. the 7160 was released in Feb 2011 so it may have the newer drives.
