Restore causes error
Trial user of 2013
I am trying to copy one computer's hard drive to another.
1) Tried a backup and wound up with "Windows failed to start" screen
2) Tried ISO Image on external USB 1terabyte drive -- and it will not start
I used the acronis boot disc on a usb flash drive -- but repeating the same restore doesn't make sense since it didn't work the first time.
Ideas?
Any way to get the Image to load?
I'm able to confirm that all the content is on the hard drive and on the ISO Image, through the start boot disc, but I can't get to a point where I can "recover" the boot correctly.
Thank you.

With the trial, you can only restore a backup. In your case, you would have to first create a disk and partition backup using ATI in Windows or ATI on the recovery CD. Make sure you include all partitions on the backup. For this, in Windows, after you clicked on the Disk and Partition icon to create one, switch to disk mode and select the disk you want to backup.

What is the message exactly?

Are you really saying that you have tried to restore a TIB file (that you call ISO)? What do you call ISO? IF you have an ISO file, how did you produce it?

If I understand correctly, you have restored some TIB file onto the new disk using the recovery CD, but your compute doesn't boot with the new disk. Correct?
Can you share more information about your disk configuration? Create a screenshot of your disk management console and post it here.
Which version of Windows are you using?
