Restore failed, now system keeps playing up

Thread needs solution

I'm using ATI 2010 build 7046 on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit.

I created an image of my C drive (Windows 7) but when I tried to do a restore from that image it failed halfway through. That left me with no Windows 7 so I used my Win 7 system repair disk and that appeared to get my Win 7 back as it booted up to my desktop and all seemed OK. But, there are problems in that the system keeps locking up, MailWasher Pro doesn't start fully, things like that. It is also running very slowly.

I decided to try the restore again but this time validating the archive. That also failed with this message:
'The archive is corrupted. Operation with partition '0-0' was terminated |Details|the archive is corrupted (0x70020)|Tag=0xF5F8CBCF76155639.

Is there any way I can recover from this archive please?

Hello Mike,

Thank you for your post and welcome to our forum. I will do my best to assist you.

If there is a way for you to move the backup to a different location, another external hard drive or any internal hard drive, there is a chance that you will be able to use this backup file. We also have an extensive guide for troubleshooting corrupt backups, please go through it if my suggestion does not work.

It is always recommended to have at least two backups stored in different locations, this offers more reliable backup storage and recovery options.

If there is anything else I can do, please let me know.

Thank you.
