Restore multiple incremental backups TI Home 2010

Thread needs solution

I am running Acronis True Image Home 2010 build 7046 under Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.
I have an original full disc backup and multiple weekly incremental backups stored on an external USB hard drive.
After an unexplained and unexpected shut down, I have lost data and settings from my weather program.
The only hope of recovering this seems to be to restore my backups but I do not understand how to do this.
Do I just recover the original .tib backup and the later incremental files are restored automatically?
Or do I then have to recover each incremental.tib file individually?
Can I consolidate all the incremental backups with the original disc back up before running recovery?
If so, how do I do that?

Sorry for what may be very basic questions but I cannot get a clear guide from the Help file.
Any detailed guidance would be much appreciated.

If this is indeed the case, then why restore your entire disc from scratch? Try first to mount the backup tib and recover the specific files you need, simply using Explorer.

My Weather Display program collects, stores and displays the data from my weatherstation, on a 24/7 basis, so I assumed the data would be spread over all my incremental backups.....shows how little I understand what Acronis does with an incremental backup.
Also, I am not clear if simply restoring the program folder would change the registry.

You just need to restore from the last incremental .TIB file before the crash

Or do I then have to recover each incremental.tib file individually?

No you don't. Simply start with the last incremental before the crash.

You can, but you shouldn't unless you have a compelling reason to save space. Consolidation is a risky process that ATi does pretty well. Why mess with TIB files when you don't have to?

Assuming you have a disk and partition backup, you should restore your entire disk as it was before the crash. Restore from the recovery CD. Before restoring, make sure you validate the backup file to increase your level of confidence the restoration will work.
To be completely safe, copy any irreplaceable content you might have on your messed up disk to some other disk before the restore, *in particular* any new content that is not in the incremental backup.
As you restore your entire disk, all the data on the disk will be deleted and replaced by the content that was there at the time of the backup.
