Restore Performance and others
I had to reload my laptop and have always used True Image to restore my data files. The laptop restore was from a fresh build of Windows 7.
The first problem was I could not install True Image 2015. The small download from the web site worked fine but when executing it the download worked but then failed to install after the unpack.
The next problem was that I tried under the new Windows 7 to open the backup file and "Copy" the directories I wanted. This worked the first time but after that the "copy" / "Paste" would not work.
The third problem is I took a rescue disk and booted it. I then restored a number of directories to an alternate location. This started over 12 hours ago and is still running. Why such a slow performance. This is running on a Quad system with the target disk being a SSD, The source disk is a USB 3 External USB drive. Heck the backup does not take that long.
Till this is fixed I can't recommend True Image any more.
Anyone have any suggestions
