i just got win 7 and wanted to put it on my largest partition.so i made a back up of my vista partition about 112 gigs it took about half hour.i saved it to external hard drive.after installing both os i tryed to restore my vista back up.acronis ti runs a couple miniuts and says completed successfuly but its not .any help appericated.any how to tutitorals ,thanks

Thank you for reporting about the issue! I would like to help you with resolving it.

Unfortunately it is hard to say what went wrong and we can only guess right now, so I would like to ask you to help us clarify the situation. Could you please kindly do the following: 

  1. Log into your account and download from here the latest version of Acronis Bootable Rescue Media as shown on the screenshot. Please burn the ISO image using appropriate writing software such as Nero or Roxio Easy CD Creator which runs on your computer. This image is a full working copy of the boot disc for Acronis True Image. After you create a boot disc from the downloaded file, please check its functionality and inform us if there are any problems. We recommend you to refer to the following article if you are not familiar with ISO burning.
  2. Please kindly recover the image that you have with the newly created Acronis Bootable Rescue Media CD and see whether it resolved the issue.
  3. Should the issue persist, please kindly gather:
  • Acronis Linux Report
  • Download Acronis Report utility and run it, create a report and send it to us? Please compress the Acronis Report output file into an archive (e.g. with WinZip) and attach to your message by browsing for the archive.
    This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.

and contact us via PM with the information gathered - we will review it and find the solution for the issue.
