Restore Problem Acronis 2013 - DUAL BOOT SYSTEM Windows 7 & Windows XP

Thread needs solution

I tried to restore a DUAL BOOT system ( Windows 7 & Windows XP) to a new blank 1 TB Black Caviar HDD 7200 rpm but the system only allows me to restore to the original drive containing the backup and not to the new empty drive. The boot media was an iso file loaded to a USB flash drive and the boot media appears to be working.

Any help at getting the restore to allow the option to restore onto the empty 1Tb HDD is most appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Richard

Greetings,
Are you saying the target disk does not appear as a destination? How is the new drive connected? Visible in BIOS?

Are you saying the target disk does not appear as a destination? No, it does not ...it is a new unformatted HDD

CMOS setup utility says SATA PORT 1 Hard Disk
Vendor: WDC etc
Size: 1000.2GB
Sata Speed : 3.0Gbps
MCQ : supported

After selecting backup from external HDD
I get to recovery screen showing
"Settings of Partition 1-1 "
"Partition Location (required)"
I click "New Location"
and the only drive visible is the external USB HDD NTFS (Elements) (C) Primary
Capacity: 931.5GB
Free Space 552.2GB
Type NTFS

NEEDLESS to say but I am STUCK ????
