Restore a TIH2012 Backup to a larger disk
Hi
I am planning to replace my laptop hard drive with a larger hard drive. I read Grover's manual for restoring a TIH2012 backup to a larger disk and forum on using DISKPART command (40903: Work in progress) to avoid any failure later. I have one question.
The DISKPART command of my existing hard drive shows a "reserved partition" which is not shown in the DISKMANAGEMENT command (see screenshots attached). I assume that the reserved partition shall not be displayed in the Acronis Recovery Wizard / What to recover screen of my system as well.
Assuming my assumption is correct,( and I have made a backup of the entire old disk and all the other preparatory advice) how then do I restore the "reserved partition" to a new larger disk I intend to replace (or even to the same disk) and make the necessary settings (such as Free Space Before, etc required during the restore process in TH2012 since this reserved partition is not shown in the Acronis Recovery Wizard / What to recover screen of my system mentioned above)?
Appreciate any help so that I shall not botch up my restore process to a new larger disk.
