Restore of Toshiba Satellite Windows/8 problems

CD Rom is Build #6514

Something is still not right on the restore. After successful restore of "C" drive, going into windows gives a message that there was a problem (no description) and should it be reported. Sure...however the real problem comes when you do a "CHKDSK C:" and re-boot. Then the system hangs after the CHKDSK.

I wonder if there is a problem with the restore or if there is some idea that somebody can share to get the Toshiba completely working again.
