Restore UEFI WIN 7 x64 on SSD disk

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Since yestreday I'am trying to restore my system disk without any success.

The restoration process goes as expected, but when I restart my computer and enter the Bios I have no more UEFI drives available...

What am I doing wrong ?

Sorry for my English it is not my mother language, I am French.

Thanks in advance for your help and advices.

Pelase let me know if you need more informations about my system or other infos !

For the restauration process i've selected the hole drive (ie. MBR too). Isn't that maybe the problem ? How can I solve it ?

But when I chose the whole disk, I'll get a message saying "Warning! After operation completion, operating systems will not boot from the destination disk in BIOS" Why ?

Thanks in advance for your help and advise

Stéphane

Bonjour Stephane,

Please see post: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/119666#comment-365312 which explains the warning message that you are seeing.

Bonjour Steve,

Thank you for your reply, I thought about the reason th post is takling about.

But on the other hand i've selected all the partitions seen on recovery avoiding selecting the drive... and it worked, booted in UEFI without any problem... do not know why... but at boot I pressed F8 to select the boot device and choose windows boot manager... and everything is fine for the moment beeing.

I have not rebooted for the moment, I have to answer my mails and other stuff. I will try a reboot tomorrow morning modfying the boot order in my BIOS and let you know.

Stéphane

Bonjour Stephane,

Selecting Windows Boot Manager for UEFI system is often the recommended choice rather than choosing a specific disk drive.
