Restored PC now I can't recover older Backup version

Thread needs solution

I have two questions:
1. I just restored my Dell PC (Windows Vista 32 bit) from a Synology NAS. The restore went fine. I noticed after the restore the software immediately started a new backup is it always supposed to do this? The tib file I restored from was 2 months old & I backup weekly using Version Chain.
2. After my restore My Backup verisons that were created prior to the backup cannot be loaded back into "MY backups" is this normal?

1. If you have the box checked under advanced settings in the scheduler window, it is possible that ATI noticed an overdue backup and complied upon reboot.

2. Yes, there is a problem. When you restore a backup, ATI forgets the backup you restored. The TIB file is still there and the backup chains will continue as if it was not there. Not a big issue. You can still recover this backup if you ever wanted.

Pat L. - Thanks for the feedback. Your comment on the scheduler makes sense I will have to change that setting.

I backed up the computer today after the restore and the backup was added to the existing old version I couldn't bring back into My backups earlier. Now it allowes me to add back my existing old verions into MY backups - go figure. I now have all my versions back.

This software keeps you on your toes. :-)
