Restoring ASZ to a different hard drive when restore to the hard drive that has ASZ won't work

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I have Acronis TI 2010 WinXP Pro SP3

I have a rather unique situation. I have a SATA 1.5GB Seagate drive that is in a system that BSOD when it boots. I believe that there is physical damage or some other issue with the drive that does not allow the ASZ to restore properly to that particular drive when using the bootable TI media. The ASZ backup was completed when the system was working properly so I believe that it may still be okay.

I can connect the "bad" drive to my laptop through a USB to SATA converter and see the ASZ with Acronis 2010 and the files on the drive (one 1.5TB drive split into two drives C and D with C bootable).

Is there a way that I can either use that ASZ to restore to another identical drive and make it bootable or extract that image to a *.tib file and restore it to another hard drive on another system?

Thank you,

Sam Reaves

I also have the Plus Pack option installed and both the Plus Pack and TI Home 2010 are the latest version as of 05/24/2010
