Restoring Files / Folders on PC without ATIH installed, but with Recovery Disk

Thread needs solution

I have several PC's with ATIH 2013 and several PC's with Macdayrium Reflect.

Today I tried to restore an ATIH image (Files / Folders only, not the OS) on a PC without an installed version of ATIH. I used the ATIH Recovery Disk and click on Files / Folders Restore, browsed for the ATIH backup, found it.

Then I tried to select those Folders I wanted to restore (from 4 different Partitions on the original backup).

The ATIH Recovery version would not let me click on "Restore to Original Path" (it was greyed out).

In any event, it was a nightmare, took over 3 hours to run / restore the 30GB backup and put ALL 4 Partions (of Files / Folders) onto my E Partion on the PC in question (this one is running Macrium Reflect).

So, my question is, is there anyway (when you do a Files / Folder Restore to a PC without ATIH installed and using only the Recovery disk, can you direct CORRECTLY where the files / folders are to be recovered?

Hope to hear back soon.

Thanks,

SteveG

Perhaps do multiple file /folder restores and each single restore would be just of the specific disk letter. Be extremely careful to get the right target location--based on sizes and names,, etc--not drive letters.

or, if the backup is current, you could perform multiple single partition restores (rather than file restores) and restore the entire partition of any of your data only partitions. If you were to also retore C only, then you would need to additionally remove 2013 and reinstall Macrium.

Each partition would be a single partition restore with ALL DATA in that partition being restored.
