Restoring image when using a SSD as primary drive (C:)

Thread needs solution

I am using the latest version of Acronis True Image Home 2010.

I have an OCZ 60GB Solid State Drive as my “C” drive and a Western Digital 750GB hard drive as my “D” drive. I can backup my “C” drive to my “D” drive with no problem. When I try to restore from the image file on my “D” drive it does not work. When I use the Acronis Recovery disk I find that Acronis True Image Home 2010 does not even recognize the Western Digital drive.
HELP!!

Hello William!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad you joined us! I completely understand the issue and will be glad to help you.

Probably the problem was caused by the lack of drivers on the Bootable Media. In order to resolve it, please download the updated bootable media in ISO format from your account, burn it onto the CD and check whether the issue persists.

Please also keep in mind that Acronis products support SSD drives with certain limitations. You can find more information about it in this KB article.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
