Restoring to new computer driver questions

Thread needs solution

I've read this kb (http://kb.acronis.com/content/34283) and have a few questions:

1. How can I use the standard windows driver for my new drive? Far as I know that's what I have now and I don't need anything special.

2. Should I remove third party drivers from my computer before restoring? Stripping the system of drivers is no problem as I am getting a new motherboard, CPU and my GPU drivers need an update, anyway.

Gutting stuff and doing a new backup is fine as that will give me time to assemble my new machine.

Thanks.

Are you using Universal Restore, that is, have you purchased the Plus Pack?

For standard disks you won't need to worry about drivers, Windows can detect and cope with that, it is only drivers required for the motherboard that can be a problem.

What type of 3rd party drivers? The drivers that will cause problems are, network, video and motherboard chip drivers.

If you don't have the Plus Pack, you stabd the best chance of a restore to different hardware if you uninstall the video driver, the network card driver and the motherboard drivers.

No matter what you do, some software you have might require reactivating.

I have Plus Pack yes. And I'm familiar with reactivating software... had it happen out of nowhere at times. By 3rd party drivers I mean GPU, raid card basically anything not Windows provided.
