resuming interrupted backup

Thread needs solution

I'm using True Image 2010 with Win 7. Yesterday tried to do my first full C: backup. I got five disks burned when I had to go do something else and didn't get back for a couple hours. I expected the backup would just pause and wait for a new disk, but it had automatically terminated the process and I couldn't find any way to restart it. Apparently I just wasted 5 disks and about an hour of my time. Why does it automatically terminate? Is there a some secret way to resume where it left off?

Hello Jay,

I understand the question and will do everything possible from my side to solve the issue.

The thing is that when you create a backup archive to multiply CD/DVD discs the program automatically terminate the process in case next disc is not inserted after 10 minutes. Our customers already contacted us with the similar issue. I will create a special task in order to remove or extend time frames for the next disc.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.

Using Windows 10, my computer is backing up my C:\ HD to a USB Z:\ Backup (WD Passport Ultra) but my computer will not recognize a second USB D:\ My Passport (also a WD Passpsort Ultra), with all my documents, at at the same time. Is there any way to recognize both external HDs?

Ernest, welcome to these forums.

This is a very old topic / thread which no-one has looked at in nearly 7 years.

Please create a New Topic of your own in the most relevant forum for the version of Acronis True Image that you have installed.

We will need more information in order to try to answer your question, like what type of computer are you using, version of Windows, what sort of data is in the 1.74TB being backed up, what are you backing up to, how is it connected etc etc?
