Thread needs solution

Hi, :)

I've been using Acronis True Image 2014 (Standard) for about 8 months now. I've got it set up to backup my C drive to an external harddrive (which I've assigned the letter S). Most of the time I keep the external harddrive unplugged (I only plug it in to do the backup).

However it always worries me a bit that Acronis says "Backing up: S\(name of backup)".

Shouldn't it say "Backing up: C\"?

I've attached an image of the backup in progress.

Thanks for any advice.

The picture you have included shows correctly. The message you are seeing is also correct as it includes the name of the backup fle.

From within Windows explorer, double click on one of the *.tib backup files and you can view what is included within the tib backup file.

GH57. Assorted task features.

Which version of Windows? If Windows 7, you backup may not be including all you need to restore to a new disk.
Review my signature link 2-A for more info about task creation. Note the the first 3 pictues discuss the merits of a disk image backup to include all partitons on your disk. You may also have an interest in the contents of my signature link 1 below.
