"Run task only if the current device is attached" gets unchecked

Thread needs solution

When I put a checkmark in the "Run task only if the current device is attached", it is not saved - when I go to edit the task again, the checkbox is cleared. The other checkbox ("If missed, run the task when device is attached") remains checked.

Is there a way to get this feature to work?

Thanks,
Eliezer

Hello Eliezer,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

It looks like a GUI issue. Please unplug the USB drive and miss the time of the backup creation. The task shouldn't run (please let me know if you experience another behavior). Then plug the USB drive back and see what happens. Let us know the results.

We are looking forward to hearing back from you. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.

Yes, this is a GUI bug that still exists in True Image 2011. It seems the task is saved and runs according to the last setting. Nevertheless, this is an irksome bug.

I'm not sure whether this is applicable to you but there is an advanced option inside the scheduler which must be unchecked if you miss a task and do not want the task to run at bootup.
