I've done using Acronis Media Builder, choosed E:\AcronisMedia.iso, because my USB stick is E:

Can HOME version really create bootable USB?

Chris,
Did you enable the BIOS option to boot from USB devices and specified the boot order? Note: this option is not necessarily available on your PC, but if you PC doesn't have an optical drive, there should be support for another form of bootable device.
Yes, home can create bootable USB. This is what I use.

chris,
You don't want to put the ISO on the flash drive using Media Builder. That won't create a bootable drive. You want to select the flash drive (don't select to create an ISO file). It should show as a Removable Disk. G: in the picture below is a flash drive.
Otherwise, you can try using the Grub4DOS ISO method.

Thx, but under Bootable Media Type Selection, I cannot see this USB stick.
I've tried with other USB stick and now it works.
BTW Is normal that Acronis Home 2011 cannot recognize some USB stick seeing correctly by WIN XP?
Howto prepare the USB stick for Acronis boot media?
I've tried to format with FAT32 using HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool, but still doesn't help.

Years ago I've done a USB bootable stick following a tutorial on the web (don't think I've kept the address).
I've add to try several different stick to make it work and then be able to restore a .tib file on it before adding DD and true image.
Seems that not all sticks can become bootable medias
