Running out of Disk Space

Thread needs solution

I have been backing up my D drive using the version chain method. I have 25 versions in the file and I am getting an error message indicating I may not have enough disk space left. How do I proceed? Do I delete all in the chain and start over? Thanks in advance

You can delete any part of the chain you wish.

Right click on the backup task (listed in True Image on the Backup and Recovery tab) and select "Recover Files".

This will open a timeline with date and times on the bottom of the window.

Hovering over each date/time block will provide additional information about it.

Right clicking on a date/time block will give you the option to delete the files.

Remember that when you delete an incremental backup image file, all of the newer incremental files (related to the task) will be deleted as well, as they are dependent on the previous file(s).

The version chain method for doing disk/partition backups is meant to be run monthly (per Acronis User Manual) and online here http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ATIH2013/index.html#10805…

You may want to take a look at Grover's very helpful guides on how to set up a backup task using a custom theme to help with disk management issues. http://forum.acronis.com/forum/28705

Do not edit your current task, create a new one if you decide to follow Grover's guide.

I have a separate physical hard drive that stores all of my documents, pictures and music. I would like to be able to back up the drive (changes to the files) weekly. I don't need to do a full back up weekly, just the changes.
What back up scheme should I be using to do a weekly back up?
