Running out of space -- but I shouldn't

Hello:

I use Windows 7 and Acronis True Image Home 2010, build 7,046.

I have set full backup and max number of backups to 2 (changed from 3 to
2 for the same project when earlier running out of space). However,
while I have 168 GB left on my backup drive before backup, TI tells me,
after starting to back up a third backup version and when the files is 101 GB
(full backup is 106 GB) that I am running out of space. (I do not know
if the earliest backup would have been deleted if the third backup would
have been successful.)

Why is this happening? Grateful for help.

Unfortunately without sufficient diagnostic information it is impossible to identify why retention rules (keep 2 backups only) don't work, so this situation requires investigation. 

Please gather the following information: 

  1. Screenshot of the backup settings
  2. Acronis Info from the problem machine
  3. Acronis System Report from the problem machine. 

After that please kindly contact support directly with the information attached. Keep in mind that should there be any procrastination with the reply, you can always specify us the case number. We will do our best to speed up the process.
