RunTime error when trying to select folders for backup

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm running Acronis True Image Home 2011 (latest build), but my problem relates to the built-in Online Backup. My computer runs Windows 7 Enterprise (64-bit).

I have recently activated the one-month free trial of the online backup. But I haven't yet managed to make it work properly.

The backup itself seems to work well enough, but only with the pre-selected 'Documents' Folder. Since there is hardly any data in there, I would like to choose different folders. But every time I try to click on 'what to back up' under options, the software freezes for a few minutes (with HDD activity still signalling frantic activity) and then gives me the following error message:

Microsoft Visual C++ RunTime Library

RunTime error!

Program: ...eImageHome\OnlineBackupStandalone\ob_client_standard.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

I then need to use Window Task Manager to close the programme.

As this problem makes Acronis Online Backup basically unusable for me, I'd be grateful for any advice that might help to solve it.
