SATA CONTROLLER

Thread needs solution

I have a PC with "Intel(R) - controller SATA RAID ICH7R/DH" and disk Maxtor 7L300S0.

Bootable disk created with True image 2010 doesn't recognize the disk.

TI 2010 bootable disk show this error:

Acronis: insmod: error inserting '/lib/modules/acpiphp.kc': -1 No such device: No such device
Acronis: cannot open module 'st': no such file or directory
Error: pdc: wrong # of devices in RAID set "pdc_babdhbbgeb" [1/2] on /dev/sdc
Error: removing inconsistent RAID set "pdc_babdhbbgeb"
RAID set "isw_dijcifjeff_RAIDVOL0" was activated
The dynamic shared library "libdmraid-events-isw.iso" could not be loaded: libdmraid-events-isw.so: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

Bootable disk created with True image 2009 recognize the disk correctly.

Hello Gianluca,

I understand the question and will do everything possible from my side to give you a clear explanation.

I would recommend you to download ISO image based on ISOLinux from your account under Registered Products and create Acronis bootable disc using third-party software. ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released.

ISOLINUX Bootable Media has several boot parameters that may help overcome possible issues with booting. You can also set a specific VGA resolution in the ISOLINUX media if there an issue with the Graphical User Interface (GUI). Check the following article for more details.

I have checked your account and I don’t see registered version of Acronis True Image Home 2010. Please register the serial number otherwise you won’t be able to download ISO image. Instructions for proper serial number registration can be found in this KB article.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.

Similar to above - I have an Intel D945NT board with ICH7R. Booted to Acronis Full CD and did backup to attached USB storage. Afterwards, could not boot to Windows Vista on Raid 1. Acronis appeared to corrupt at least boot record - fortunately Vista DVD recovery worked. I am planning to use TI 2010 to replace and restore to larger raid 1 drive. I think Acronis loader ignored the raid 1 configuration becasue it showed 2 sets of disk partitions. How do I make sure that raid controller will not be an issue.
