Schedule backup

Thread needs solution

Good afternoon from Spain ,

I want to make a backup every 3 hours from a folder that stores files in pdf and is used by a program that manages a database .
What I mean is that I store the files that have been deleted even on a voluntary and conscious.

For example:

*Folder Contents at 14.00 :
A.pdf
B.pdf
C.pdf

-> At 15.00 hours a new file is added D.pdf
-> At 15.30 hours voluntarily removed from the management program B.pdf
-> At 17.00 hours the backup is performed.
-> At 18.00 voluntarily removed from the management program C.pdf
-> At 19.00 a new file is added E.pdf
-> At 20.00 hours the next backup is performed.

--> At 22:30 hours If I decide to recover the backup I want to find me is:

A.pdf
B.pdf
C.pdf
D.pdf
E.pdf

I use Acronis True Image software ..... this is an incremental backup ?

Thank you.

Ejemplo:
Contenido de la carpeta a las 14.00 horas:

A.pdf
B.pdf
C.pdf

A.pdf
B.pdf
C.pdf
D.pdf
E.pdf

Gracias.

Hi,

you can schedule True Image to do a backup every 3 hours. What you won't get is that the last backup contains all files if you deleted one in between. If a file was created and deleted in between backups you are screwed.

Another option is to use the non-stop backup feature which creates an incremental backup every 5 minutes. But you have to be aware that it consolidates the backups every night (not sure if that's configurable).

Thomas

Thanks tleon,

I'm looking for a method in which we can recover files that are deleted between copy and copy.

Thanks
