scheduled task fails but status is "aborted"

Thread needs solution

Hello,

one thing I don't like about the scheduled tasks in Acronis True Image is how network interruptions are treated: When TI loses the connection to a storage device via a network it prompts a failure notice and asks to the user to reconnect within ten minutes. When running automatically, for example at night, the failure notice naturally appears unnoticed and TI stops the execution. So far this is perfectly OK.
But TI considers the task "aborted by user" instead of "failed". This means the failed execution doesn't appear as "failed" in the task calendar and isn't marked red like other failed tasks. So sometimes this failures go unnoticed because they are not indicated properly. To me, this behaviour of TI is flawed and should be changed.

Hello Dirk,

I understand the question and will do everything possible from my side to solve the issue.

Thank you for a good suggestion I will create a special CLS (customer listening system) task to add the changes with incomplete schedule task notification. I agree that “aborted by user” notification is not a proper one in that particular case.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.
