Scheduled task when logoff / shutdown does NOT run

Thread needs solution

On the computer I'm working on since last week I found an elderly (?) version of Acronis:
Acronis® True Image Echo Workstation® with Acronis Universal Restore® (build 8.115)

I tried to schedule the backup of an image of this computer and shutdown automatically after finishing. The options "run when I log off" and "run when my computer shuts down" sound like providing what I want. But when checking the box I get the following warning:

Warning! This task will not be executed if you shutdown your computer from the logon screen.
Are you sure you want to continue with this task?

What does this really mean? From where else I should logoff / shutdown if not from the startmenue to run the scheduled task? This warning is no joke, Acronis does NOT run when I shutdown / logoff.

OS is XP prof SP3

How can I make this system run Acronis backup and shutdown after automatically?

I don't know anything about that version of Acronis software but I know it is not designed for home PC's. A work station is normally a PC connected to a server and as such the backup software 'echo's' the network it is on.

The correct full Version is: Acronis True Image Echo Workstation 9.5.build8115.

I didn't mention anything about a home PC.

Apart from this: There are workstation and server versions of Acronis True Image, to me it seems the right product is installed, all other functions work fine!

Any suggestions to the primary problem how to use the backup-options "run when I log off" and "run when my computer shuts down"?

I'm using Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 on XP machines. I also want to be able to backup after the user "shuts down" the computer. Does Acronis think I should leave the computers running all night? Are they going to pay for my electricity? Am I being stupid or is this really an unbelievable ommision?

In order to get the computer to shut down after a backup, you may use the pre/post commands:
Set backup options manually/select Pre-Post commands / Select After backup process box/ Type the following:
Command: SHUTDOWN
Arguments: -T 0 -S
There should be a space gap before the first symbol. There should be a space gap between T and zero, also between zero and "-".
