Seagate Drive--including TrueImage 2013--Requires Reformatting

Thread needs solution

We suddenly cannot use our Seagate drive, Model STAC3000602, Serial NA0M49NS. It had Acronis TrueImage 2013, some other software that came with the drive, and several backups. Our computer indicates the drive requires reformatting.

Please provide instructions for doing this, including how to restore the software.

Thank you,

J and N Larson

Instructions to do what? To reformat your drive? Or, do you have a disk backup that you want to restore?

If the drive has errors, you must deal with those first. If they are unrepairable, a new drive may be required.

As for reinstalling True Image, you would simply install and enter the serial number. If you receive a message about too many activations, deactivate it and then reactivate it.

Please edit your post and remve your serial number. This deletion of serial should be done without delay.

After several "runs" of Scandisk and SeaTools (SeaGate repair software) on that drive, it appears to be OK.

We have not been able to successfully run either a primary hard drive (C:) or a Western Digital drive backup in quite some time, and we have not received any response from this forum AT ALL.

We do not have any other support options at this time--Acronis claims our support subscription has expired, although we have had registered/activated software since we purchased the SeaGate drive and have TrueImage 2013 now.

WE NEED HELP!

Are you blind? I replied to your first post just ten minutes after you posted. You didn't answer my question to clarify, and did not respond to the information I gave.

We are talking about 2 different issues. The one we never heard back on concerns backing up our dessktop and Western Digital drive. The "reformat" problem appears to be resolved.
