Searching for a file in ATI2013

Thread needs solution

I am trying to find a specific file in one of my regular backups. I have selected "recover files" from the settings button for the archive, and loaded the file tree for that backup. I can see all the files. I have typed a file name in the "search" box, and ticked the drive I wish to search in the tree view. I get a zero return, ie no files found. I get this even if I select a file I can see in the tree view. I get the same result when using wild cards.
I feel I must be doing something wrong, but cannot for the life of me think what.
I am using the latest version of ATI on Windows 8.

Best regards

Further information: This problem seems to only apply to one particular backup set. I have tried searching in a different archive, and search performs exactly as expected, but this one particular set (which is my most recent) exhibits the problem. All versions within the same archive have the problem.
Hmmmm

This sounds like a permissions problem, often Windows will report a file as zero size if the security identifiers in a file don't match the machine current user SSID.

Is this a full disk image or a files and folders backup? If a disk or partition image try mounting the image to see if that makes any difference. You could also try double clicking on the tib file itself and opening via your file manager, both of these options should allow you to find your file.

It is a disk image.
Mounting the image and searching for the file did indeed find the recalcitrant file!
Not quite sure how the security identifiers should get all confused, but hey, who can understand what goes on behind that high res facade.
Thanks for the help Colin
