Second Try at getting help
I am using the lastest version of True Image v9. I performed a FULL BACKUP of my Dell Precision Laptop last week with NO problems. But everytime I try to perform a differential backup of the Dell Precision Laptop it terminates right away. The log file is enclosed.
That's it, NO IF's, AND's OR BUT's. Theres no information what has failed. I've created several new full backups with no problems, but whenever I try to do a differential backup on any of them, I get the same error.
I have tried to install a trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2009 and it fails with the error message "Can not update the ini file C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\...\Acronis Web Site.url. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."
Can anyone help?

Thank you for your great ideas.
1. I ran chkdsk C: /f and it was perform after a system reboot.
2. I just ran an Incremental backup and got the same results.
3. I created a TI CD and ran both a Differential and Incremental backups with the same results.
4. My OS is Windows XP Profesional SP3
5. All Full Backups (4 of them) validate successfully.
Thank you for giving me things to try.

Are there multiple partitions on the drive? If so, have you tried creating an image of just the Windows partition and then creating a Differential from that? Or, if that's what you've been doing, try creating an Entire Disk Image and then a Differential based on that.
Do you have any other small partitions located on another drive that you can use as a test? This would help determine if the problem is releated the the main drive or to the program/computer.
