Selecting other HDD for temporary consolidation files

Thread needs solution

Hello,

as TI 2013 needs a lot of disk space for consolidating large backups it would be helpful to transfare the temporary images to another harddrive. Is that possible and if then how?

In Acronis Help they say: sometimes it's better to build a new backup. But then I'd loose some elder file versions that I may need later and because of lack of diskspace I'd have to delete the other backup first.

Thanks for hints
Peter

Peter,

You cannot move the files to another drive temporarily, what you can do is to move the complete archive to another drive (via the option in True Image) and if you wish move them back once consolidation is finished.

True Image will always build a copy of your current archive whilst consolidating, so a drive must have at least as much space as the complete archive takes up.

It might be better once this problem is solved to make differential backups instead of incremental, that way less disk space is used.
