Sell Acronis Products

Thread needs solution

Hi

does sbdy know if I can delete the serials from me Registered Products page and sell my Acronis products to somebody else?

I've now finished with True Image at all and will look for some alternate backup solutions. So again my question: can I remove the serials and sell it?

Hello Micky,

I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Let me clarify this situation for you.

According to our License Policy the end user is not eligible to sell the copies he purchased for personal use. I'm sorry for that.

Could you please clarify, why do you want to switch to another backup solution? We would be glad if you allow us to fix the situation for you so you can keep using our products.

Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.

Regards,

But is the license transferable? He could just transfer the log-in to the Acronis registration along with the product.

But I'm wondering, if the user finds the product unsuitable, why would he want to charge someone else for it? ;)

True Image is a very unusual product. It works for some but gives no end of problems for others.
And the fact that it takes over a month for the official support to answer a query is good enough reason to not want to use the product.

Hello,

Scott, according to EULA, the person who purchased the product and used it for some time is not able to transfer the license to other person. It's possible to transfer the license from one account to another in some cases, but this procedure must be reviewed by our Sales Experts.

Yes, I can agree that it's very inconvenient to receive a support after a month after case submission. We're now facing a high volume in our chats and e-mail channels, we will train new engineers at the shortest time, so this situation will be fixed. I'm sorry for the inconvenience you experienced.

Please feel free to ask me if you have any additional questions.

Regards,

Seems like one more reason to consider other products before purchasing ATI.

Hmmm, where have I heard this before? Oh yeah, again and again over the last few years from Acronis... In fact the situation doesn't seem to have gotter better over the last few years -- if anything, it seems to have gotten worse as ATI 11, ATI 12/2009, an now ATI13/2010 have been released with critical problems. Let's hope that a company, which once had a stable and reasonably reliable product, with reasonable support, again returns to produce such a product and provide such support. But I wouldn't put any faith in Acronis promises aboutr such things -- the past has shown that it's only the deeds that count. . .
